| The
Paint Creek fishing areas are divided into two
sections:
Catch and
Release (C&R) Area: This fishing area is
stocked from the mouth of Skitter Creek upstream 2-miles to the mouth of Milburn Creek.
WV-15 provides access to this section of Paint
Creek. The C&R section of Paint Creek is stocked once in April.
Non-Catch and
Release Area: This fishing area is stocked from Pax,
WV downstream to the Catch and Release Area and in a 4-mile section from Tenmile Creek to Ash Branch . WV-25,
WV-15, and WV-83 provide access to fishing spots
alone the stream. This section of Paint Creek is
stocked once in February and once every two weeks from March through May.
Directions: The Pax, WV area can be
access from I-77 or via WV-27 from Mount Hope,
WV.
