New River Bridge Trail

This steep and rocky trail is suited for hikers in search of a workout. Along its course, the trail leads hikers to the rim of the New River Gorge and beneath the span of the New River Gorge Bridge. Unparalleled views of the gorge and bridge are provided en route.

NOTE: The New River Bridge Trail travels beneath the New River Gorge Bridge and is traditionally closed to the public during the Bridge Day Festival as a matter of security. The trail’s eastern end joins the Fayetteville Trail.

Marr Branch Trailhead: Turn off US-19 in Fayetteville, WV, onto Fayette Station Road (CR-82). The trailhead parking area is 0 .8 miles ahead on the right.
