Butcher Branch Trail

This moderately strenuous trail provides hikers a convenient connector route between the Long Point Trail and the Kaymoor Top trailhead area. Rock climbers also use the trail to access cliffs along the way. The trail crosses Butcher Branch, along which hikers and climbers can enjoy respite from the heat in summer. The Butcher Branch crossing requires that trail users descend and ascend steep grades.

Kaymoor Top Trailhead: From US-19 at Fayetteville, WV, follow WV-16 south to a left onto Gatewood Road (CR-9). Follow Gatewood two miles to the left onto Kaymoor Top Road (CR-9/2). Follow one mile and bear left into the parking area.
