Glade Creek Trail
This New River Gorge hiking trail follows Glade Creek from its mouth on New River to its junction with Pinch Creek near Grandview, WV. A cold mountain stream that descends through many waterfalls, the creek is among the most popular trout fishing destinations in the New River Gorge region. Ruins of the ghost town of Hamlet may be found along New River upstream of the trailhead and the mouth of Glade Creek.Trailhead Information
Directions
Hamlet Trailhead: From US-19 at Glen Jean, WV, follow WV-61 south 7.6 miles to its junction with WV-41. Turn left onto WV-41 and follow approximately four miles, descending Battoff Mountain to the New River and following the river upstream to a right onto Glade Creek Road. The right onto Glade Creek Road is located just prior to the WV-41 bridge over New River. Follow the gravelled Glade Creek Road approximately seven miles to the trailhead parking area and camping area at the mouth of Glade Creek.Trailhead Information

Pinch Creek Trailhead: From I-64 at Grandview (Exit 129), follow WV-9 south 0.5 miles to a left onto Scott Branch Road (CR-22). Proceed approximately 1.25 miles, descending along Scott Branch to a parking area along Glade Creek. NOTE: High-clearance, four-wheel-drive vehicles are recommended as CR-22 its steep, rocky, and often muddy.Trails of the Glade Creek Area
