Kates Falls Trail
A spur off the Glade Creek Trail, Kates Falls Trail ascends steeply through rocky terrain to its namesake falls. The trail closely follows the lower segment of Kates Branch, and rocks along the way may be slippery during high water. The Kates Falls Trail formerly connected with Kates Plateau Trail.Trailhead Information
Directions
Pinch Creek Trailhead: From I-64 at Grandview (Exit 129), follow WV-9 south 0.5 miles to a left onto Scott Branch Road (CR-22). Proceed approximately 1.25 miles, descending along Scott Branch to a parking area along Glade Creek. The Kates Falls Trail is located approximately one mile from the Pinch Creek Trailhead. Follow directions for the Glade Creek Trail to reach the trail from the Glade Creek Trail’s trailhead at Hamlet. NOTE: High-clearance, four-wheel-drive vehicles are recommended as CR-22 its steep, rocky, and often muddy.Trails of the Glade Creek Area
