New River Bridge Trail

New River Bridge Trail - 1.6 miles - difficult - hiking trail hiking

A steep, rocky, and difficult trail, but it is perfection if you're looking for a workout.  This New River Gorge hiking trail offers great views of the gorge and of the New River Gorge Bridge.

Notes: This trail passes beneath the New River Gorge Bridge and will likely be closed for security reasons during the Bridge Day Festival until well after the festival ends at 3 p.m.

Trail Rating: 1.6 miles - difficult hiking

Trailhead Information: To reach the top trailhead turn off the U.S. 19 expressway just south of the bridge in Fayetteville, WV, onto Fayette Station Road. The trailhead and parking are .8-miles ahead on the right, opposite Rivers Whitewater Rafting Resort. The lower trailhead intersects the Kaymoor Trail on Fayette Station Road, deep in the gorge.
