Polls Plateau Trail

This New River Gorge hiking trail wanders across a highland plateau east of the canyon of Glade Creek and through the upper reaches of several small streams, including that of Poll’s Branch. Part of the trail loops through forest and fields and across an old farmstead. Hikers should use caution as intersection paths can make the route difficult to determine. The southern segment of the trail joins the Kate’s Plateau Trail.

Directions

Bragg Trailhead: From I-64 at Bragg (Exit 133), follow Plumley Mountain Road (CR-27) approximately one mile to a left onto Polls Branch Road. Follow the latter, gravelled road approximately one half mile to the trailhead marker at its end. Trailhead parking is limited.
