Timber Ridge Trail

This easy hiking trail journeys along a wooded ridge southeast of Fayetteville, WV, following the route of old roadbeds. An easily traversed course, the Timber Ridge Trail wanders levelly for most of its length through a young woodland before descending the ridge to join the Fayetteville Trail. The trail can be incorporated into a loop back to Newton Road following the Fayetteville and Long Point trails.

Directions

Newton Road Trailhead: From US-19 at Fayetteville, WV, follow WV-16 south to a left onto Gatewood Road. Follow Gatewood Road 1.9 miles to the left onto Newton Road. Parking is about 50 yards ahead on the left.
