The river is unpredictable: your outfitter shouldn’t be. Since 1975, North American River Runners has organized whitewater vacations that are the pinnacle of fun and excitement. NARR is the oldest kayaking school in West Virginia. With instruction from NARR, you can experience the river in a kayak yourself. We offer classes for absolute beginners and experienced kayakers who want to learn advanced techniques. Class sizes are kept small so instructors can work closely with each student. Beginners should know how to swim and be in reasonably fit condition. NARR supplies all the equipment you'll need. On-site accommodations include camping, cabin tents, a bunkhouse, and large bathhouses for no-waiting showers after your trip. NARR offers a wide range of activities on and off our resort. We're located on U.S. 60 (Midland Trail Scenic Highway), one quarter-mile west of U.S. 19.
