The Midland Trail
Cutting across central southern West Virginia, the Midland Trail, old U.S. Route 60, is one of the oldest routes in the United States. Its designation by the State of West Virginia as a Scenic Highway recognizes its integral role in the history and development of our nation. Designation also acknowledges the Trail’s unique scenic, natural, recreational, historical, and cultural qualities.
