Bridge Day Festival
The ultimate guide to the Bridge Day Festival, held on the 3rd Saturday in October each year. This huge outdoor event takes place on the New River Gorge Bridge, and an estimated 200,000 people attend. West Virginia State Fair
By tradition, the West Virginia State Fair takes place near the last week in August in Fairlea, a community near Lewisburg, WV. This year's celebration with mark the 80th anniversary of the West Virginia State Fair, providing a variety of family-oriented entertainment for visitors during the August 13-22, 2004 time-period.
Captain Thurmond's Challenge Bike, boat and run the New River Gorge area. Over $10,000 in cash and prizes. Always held the 3rd Friday in June.
